Vikingasaga covers the period of history during which the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings lived in this country. In order to bring this period ALIVE for your children I use a large number of carefully researched authentic artefacts and I use an interactive lecture/demonstration format. Children are asked to assist with some of the demonstrations

I cover most of the curriculum relating to the Vikings or Saxons, which means that it is quite an intensive day for the children, but my experience with schools over the past fifteen years has proved that it is a very interesting day, and that the children (and teachers) enjoy it very much. Throughout the day I cover the lifestyle of men, women and children; burial and archaeology; daily life; food; cooking; what was used for making everyday items; trade; coin manufacture; manufacture of cloth and clothing, and how it was coloured and decorated; weapons and armour.
